Braided Ranchera Straw Hat

This is a community favorite all season, summer hat. A flexible, braided woven top and wide brim straw hat. This design includes our classic double wrap leather neck tie make for easy toting. Woven by hand from a women’s collective in the mountains of Cuenca, Ecuador who work with Paja Toquilla Straw. This hat is ready for wherever you’re seeking sunshine.

If you are in between sizes or unsure of your hat size, we recommend sizing up. Most of our hats have an elastic band on the inside to add a snug fit.

Our straw hats are made by a group of artisans in a small mountain town near Cuenca, Ecuador. We partner with a fourth generation family of hat-makers to add the finishing touches. Our hats are handmade and one-of-a-kind. This means that no two are exactly alike and almost all contain irregularities from size to color. Please allow for slight imperfections as this is what adds to the unique character of each hat and band.
